Five Truck Pushers Beat Police Officer To Comma At Mankessim Market

At Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region, a police officer is fighting for his life after being beaten to a pulp by over five truck pushers.

The incident occurred in the Mankessim market this afternoon.

According to some eyewitnesses, the police officer pushed some of the trucks parked on the side of the road to an unknown location.

This led to a misunderstanding between John Quansah, a police officer, and the truck drivers.

According to an eyewitness, it took the involvement of market women who interceded on behalf of the police officer for him to be released.

Meanwhile, the police officer’s mother explained that she received a distress call from some market women claiming that her son had been battered, so she raced to the scene only to find her son weak on the floor.

She then took him to the Salt pond Government Hospital for medical attention.

The woman subsequently reported the incident to the police, who took appropriate action
