4 criminals grabbed at Twifo Nuamakrom For Stealing Railway Steel

Police at Twifo Ati-Morkwa in the Twifo Ati-Morkwa District of the Central Region have arrested suspected three thieves and an Abobo Yaa driver for raiding railway steel at Twifo Nuamakrom through Assin Fosu. 

Speaking to Central Regional Soireenews correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, the chief of Twifo Nuamakrom, Nana Akrofi I, explained that he received a call from an unknown person that people were cutting railway steel in his jurisdiction around 3 pm Friday dawn.

According to him, storming the location was his only alternative to witness the incident and on his way, he saw a tricycle on the road with the driver.

Nana Akrofi I narrated that he went near the tricycle and saw some pieces of railway steel which were covered with plantain leaves.

He then called the police to arrest the driver and through interrogation, he revealed accomplices involved who were also arrested at the scene.

The suspects are now in police custody at Twifo Ati-Morkwa police station.
