Your commitment to get registered means victory awaits the NDC - Kwame Zu to party members
Kwame Zu, Ashanti Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress

The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwame Zu believes that party members' commitment to being involved in the new voter's registration exercise is a demonstration that John Dramani Mahama will garner many votes than the incumbent Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in December.

He told that the victory of the NDC against the Electoral Commission’s antics to register few numbers in the Asawase Constituency, which is one of the party’s stronghold, is an indication that a win awaits them during the next general election.

“Judging from members’ dedication during the new voters' registration exercise, it is evident that come December, John Dramani Mahama will be voted as the next president of Ghana,” he said.

“The victory of the NDC will start at Asawase based on your commitment and hard work towards the party. The security forces rallied against us but by God’s Grace, we have prevailed,” he added.

Kwame Zu speaking at the appreciation event organized for party members for their hard work during the just ended compilation of the new voters register recognized the effort of every individual in getting their names written. He challenged them to begin individual campaigns for the NDC to purify the good image of the party’s flagbearer, John Mahama in the minds of people.

“The expected numbers for registration has been recorded. The campaign starts today. let’s all be involved in convincing people to vote for the NDC through the house to house approach, at market places and various locations.

“Speak the good works of John Dramani Mahama to the people during his term."

He applauded Hon. Muntaka for the hard work in transforming the Ashanti Region and further challenged that majority of Members of Parliament will lose their seats to the opposition candidates due to their failure to perform the needed responsibilities when voted into power.

He reiterated that the majority of the New Patriotic Party MPs counted on constituency delegates through enticements before they were chosen during their parliamentary primaries two months ago.

“The only MP to effectively transform the Ashanti Region through developmental projects is Hon. Muntaka. The rest of the MP have engaged delegates with money thinking that is the best way to represent the people.

“They neglect their duties to their various constituents but this year would be different. If they vote for NDC, there will be a total transformation in the region. No MP can match the works of Hon. Muntaka.
