Manchester United are in talks with Jadon Sancho over a possible transfer to the Premier League despite their inability to meet the Bundesliga club’s deadline.

Sporting director, Michael Zorc gave the Red Devils up to August to meet the player’s £108.6m clause or they should forget striking a deal yet United’s interest was barricaded by the huge amount involved and tried negotiating but were told that the amount is fixed.

After their Europa League semifinal exit, the manager spoke on the need to strengthen the team, refusing to rule out their interest in Sancho.

“We definitely need to improve if we want to move up the table and take further steps in the cups. I’ve never had three semi-finals in one season [as a coach]. We’ve had spells with injuries and players who have played a lot. We’re always looking to improve the squad,' Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said.

"We need to strengthen the squad depth because it's going to be a long season. We're going to keep pushing and keep demanding more of the players that we have, but still, we're looking to improve and it's a strange one.

The Daily Express claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken to Jadon Sancho over a proposed switch to Manchester United.

The outlet further disclosed that the English winger wants to make the move but wants to decently comply with the patterns of the German club until he is given the green light to make the switch to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have already secured their first signing in the person of Donny van de Beek and additional reinforcement is soon to be unveiled as the Premier League kicks off on Saturday.
