Thiago is heading to Anfield.

The Reds have finally agreed on a deal believed to be in the region of £27m for the Bayern star, talkSPORTS reports.

The news outlet went ahead to reveal that Bayern wanted Thiago's exit completed before the start of the Bundesliga season tomorrow hence the rapid move in negotiation and a final agreement.

Thiago will agree to a four year deal at Anfield and wear the number 6 jersey.

A bid from Manchester United was expected to be made for the versatile midfielder this week but the Reds were this time determined to land their star man following Timo Werner’s loss to Chelsea earlier.

The 29-year old was part of the treble-winning team of Bayern, who claimed the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and the Champions League trophy.

He is the second Reds signing in the summer after Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos.
