Barcelona have made a bid for Manchester City’s Eric Garcia.

The Daily Mail reports that the Catalan club has made a £7.2m offer for the Spaniard who has a year left on his contract at the Etihad.

Garcia last month rejected a contract extension before Manchester City engaged Real Madrid in the Champions League knock out stage second leg.

"He announced to us that he doesn't want to extend his contract with Manchester City,’ Guardiola said in a pre-match.

"He has one more year and after that, he doesn't want to extend. We want it but he doesn't want to, so I imagine he wants to play in another place."

Garcia's development was overseen by Barcelona before joining the Citizens at age 17. A price tag of £31m has been attached to the 19-year old defender.

He was part of the squad put together by Luis Enrique in the Nations League matches played across Europe.

The La Furia Roja are on top of Group 4 with four points - they played a 1-1 draw with Germany and succumbed Ukraine by 4-0 at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano on Sunday.
