Arsenal have chosen to sign Chelsea midfielder, Willian ahead of Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho.

Both players are associated with same agent, Kia Joorabchian, and the willingness to persuade Arsenal’s technical director to sign them failed because of financial scratches.

According to the Mirror, Barcelona initially offered Coutinho to Arsenal as part of a swap deal for Matteo Guendouzi and were also required to pay £7million but the offer seems hefty as compared to that of Willian who is out of contract at the end of this month and would move for free.

The former Liverpool man is on loan at Bayern with the likelihood of returning to Spain after the Bavarians made known that they do not intend to activate his release clause.
