What goes around comes around - RevAl Sharpton

The fact that Donald Trump will probably enter the same courtroom where the Exonerated 5 were wrongfully convicted for a crime they did not conduct is not lost on those of us who were present in 1989, Sharpton said in his statement.

In response to the news of Trump's arrest, civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton said, "What goes around comes around."

In a statement, Sharpton cited the Central Park Five case from 1989, in which five black and Latino teens were erroneously found guilty of raping and beating a female jogger; the convictions were overturned in 2002 after a violent serial offender admitted to the assault.

Trump purchased newspaper advertisements at the time urging the reinstatement of the death sentence in the state.

The same individual will have to take the witness stand in a courtroom and experience the criminal justice system firsthand.
