Wendy Shay reveals inspiration behind new blonde look

Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay has finally spoken and has given details about the change behind her new look.

In an interview with Macall Mensah on Y97.9FM’s, Wendy revealed that she wants to look unique and outstanding to express her creativity and beauty through her hair and looks.

Wendy Shay said: “I always want to be unique and outstanding. I feel like as an artist; you should be very exciting. You shouldn’t be one way and boring and this is how I like to express my creativity; through my hair and looks”.

She also added, “I style myself from head to toe. I choose what I wear so definitely the hair is also part of my identity and I wanted to embrace my naturalness. It depends on the mood and spirit that I am in”.

Not long ago a picture of Wendy Shay in blonde dreadlocks hairstyle surfaced on social media which got most Ghanaians speaking.

Ghanaians criticized the picture of the 25-year-old singer for trying to look like the late Ebony Reigns to replicate her steps to get the hype.

In her latest song, she released, “Heat” in which she throws many punches at Nana Aba Anamoah, Serwaa Amihere and Abena Akorkor who have been alleged of sleeping with politicians and wealthy married men to make quick money.

The wordplay which she adopted in conveying her message reflected deep to the cryptic lyrics of the song, which was made easy to understand.

Many agreed that the new song has great vocals and instrumentals and it has had impressive ratings from entertainment critics.
