Wenchi Municipal Assembly approves 2023 composite budget
He appealed to the inhabitants of the Wenchi Municipality to support the Assembly by paying their taxes to enable them the assembly to embarks on developmental projects.

The Wenchi Municipal Assembly has approved its 2023 composite budget, fee fixing resolution for 2023 financial year and 2023 annual action plan of Mid Term Development Plan (MTDP) during the Assembly's general meeting in Wenchi in the Bono Region.
In his presentation Desmond Titus Bannor, the Wenchi Municipal Budget Analyst said the assembly budgeted for a total sum of GH¢ 18,771,430.22 for the 2023 fiscal year.
The assembly also expected to generate an amount of GH¢ 10,400.00 internally the Budget Analyst said.
He further explained that the estimated budget is expected to mobilized from the District Assembly's Common Fund, Donor Fund among others.
Touching on fee fixing resolution of the Assembly Mr Desmond Titus Bannor said it would enable them to impose levies on commercial activities to meet their annual target.
According to him in preparing the 2023 Fee fixing resolution, the current economic situation resulting in the increasing cost of goods and services, and the impact it would have on the citizenry were taking into consideration and it had become imperative that they made adjustment to some of the levies which had remained the same for several years.
