Wenchi MP donates photocell streetlights to Assembly Members to fight crime

                                                                                             The Member of Parliament for Wenchi constituency Honorable. Alhaji Seidu Haruna has donated 116 photocell streetlight bulbs to 29 elected assembly members in the Wenchi constituency in the Wenchi municipality of the Bono Region.                                                             The donations aimed at improving security in the various electoral areas within the municipality.                                                                                                In an interview with the media, the MP said the initiative is aimed at improving security in the electoral areas across the constituency                 "Streetlights are a proven way of mitigating robberies and other crimes he said ".                   He added that the streetlights will beef up and enhance the security system.                                       Honorable Alhaji Seidu Haruna charged the assembly members to identify dark places in their respective electoral areas at night and fix them to ensure enough security.                                             He also expressed his gratitude to the assembly members for the sacrificial work they are doing to guarantee that residents of their various electoral areas are fairly represented in the assembly decisions.                                                                  The Legislature gave a briefing to the assembly members on his plans to address sanitation problems in the area.                                                   " I did this by bringing a sanitation management specialist along, who could travel around and provide first-hand knowledge of the best course of action ".                                                                                                                                                              Aside from the streetlights, he has also presented three brand new motorbikes to the Wenchi municipal police command to increase police patrols in the area.                                          The presiding member of the Wenchi municipal assembly Hon James Kwasi Odor Asare who received the items on behalf of the assembly members thanked the MP for the gesture and said the streetlights would help keep the communities within the electoral areas safe and allow the people to go about their business without any fear.                                                                             The assembly members also appreciated the effort of the Member of Parliament and pledged to support him in the development of the Wenchi constituency.                                       "                          I was happy.  to have seen Hon.  Alexander Obour Damoah, the Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive of the Wenchi Municipal Assembly in the meeting he noted
