KiDi has expressed his disappointment over the attitudes of the so-called fans of Ghanaian artistes.

After Burna Boy and Wizkid's history-making win at the Grammy Awards, Ghanaian fans immediately took to social media to berate their favourite artistes.

The fans demanded an explanation for Ghanaians continuous absence at the Grammy awards.

KiDi has now expressed his view over the increase in pressure.

According to him, the fans who are supposed to be supporting them are the same people attacking them.

He quizzed why Ghanaians can’t celebrate their Nigerian counterparts without trashing their own acts on his social media page.

“Since last night the negativity I’ve seen on here is mind-boggling. Same people supposed to be supporting and pushing us? Damn, we can’t be happy for one man without trashing the next man?”

Nigeria Afrobeats stars Burna Boy and Wizkid have both won awards at the 2021 Grammys.

Burna Boy won the Best Global Music Album category while Wizkid won the Best Music Video for his song with Beyoncé; Brown Skin Girl, from Lion King: The Gift album.

Beyoncé's daughter Blue Ivy was also a winner on the song.

The Best Music Video award is given to the artist, video director, and video producer.

Burna Boy, real name Damini Ogulu, a nominee for a second consecutive year, won with his Twice As Tall album.

The 63rd Grammy Awards was held in Los Angeles.

Traditionally billed as "music's biggest night", this year's ceremony is different because of the coronavirus pandemic.
