Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has apologized to the Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Dr Akuffo Dampare during his meeting with the stakeholders of the Creative Arts Industry.

In an interview with Adom TV sighted by Soireenews on Instagram, Shatta Wale gave the reason why his misbehaviour disrupted the gathering during the meeting with the IGP. He was just ignorant of the rules that forbid anyone from recording the meeting yet because of his lateness he decided to take his phone for recording but was stopped by some officers, a situation he saw as unfair.

He further took a knee after the meeting and apologised to the IGP because per his words, he is a good man and motivates him a lot.

"I just saw people taking off their phones and nobody was talking to them so I felt oh, lemme just take off my phone cos Fred Amugi has been one of my greatest actors you know I really wanna do a movie with so when he was talking I felt what he was saying was important that I needed to keep it for myself," he told.

“So I took a video and one of the officers came and was like, phones are not allowed but you know people were taking pictures as I came so I felt like it was a bit rude. From where I was coming from that’s why the tempers were high that why I got apologized because the IG, Mr Kofi Boakye they all like people who motivate me," he added.

Shatta also mentioned that he was angry from the onset because someone had stolen his 100 bags of cement for a project.

It was reported that the musician walked away during the meeting between the Ghana Police Service and the celebrities, an act he later expressed regret for.
