Paramount Chief of Juaben Traditional Area in the Ashanti Region, Nana Otuo Serebuor II, has taken a swipe at some self-seeking elders and individuals in Juaben, particularly US-based Ghanaian journalists, Mr Kevin Taylor for slandering him.
The Omanhene through the Juaben Traditional Council has reacted to rumours that he forced assembly members in the Area to kneel down after rejecting President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominee for the position of MCE.
Rumours were rife over the weekend with a photo of assembly members kneeling before the Juabenhene.
The photos were accompanied with captions to the effect that the Juabenhene had forced the assembly members to kneel as a means of disciplining them for rejecting the President’s nominee.
The said photos were shared by various individuals including US-based Ghanaian journalist, Kevin Taylor.
However, the office of the Juabenhene has described the rumours as vicious lies and propaganda.
