Upper West Akyem MP launches students quiz and best teacher award

The Member of Parliament for Upper West Akyem Constituency in the eastern region who doubles as the Deputy Minister for transport, Frederick Adom Obeng has launched the best teacher award and students quiz competition dubbed “A motivated Human Resource in Holistic Educational Development”.
The MP announced that the maiden event will come off on 23rd December 2021, and it will be held annually to motivate teachers and students to improve teaching and learning in the area.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Frederick Adom Obeng said that under the scheme, there will be science and mathematics quiz for basic schools, independence day quiz and debate for secondary schools, district level teachers award will also be held. Mr. Adom Obeng added, there will be awards for teachers of various subjects, non-teaching staff and district education officers.

The District Chief Executive for the area Eugene Kwabena Sackey, who chaired the launch lauded the MP for the initiative and pledged his support for the project to be succesful.
