Update: Chinwetalu Agu Finally Released By Nigerian Army
Chiwetalu Agu, has been released from Army custody a day after he was arrested for putting on an outfit with semblance to the Biafran flag.

Nollywood veteran actor, Chinwetalu Agu has been released by the Nigerian Army.
The actor was arrested by troops for wearing Biafra clothing.
He was reportedly sharing food with less privileged persons wearing Biafran regalia when government forces stopped him at Upper Iweka Road, Onitsha.
Agu was approached by two soldiers who wrestled him to the ground and dragged him away.
Speaking on the incident, Brig. Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, said the veteran actor was apprehended for inciting members of the public and soliciting support for the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
However, on Friday, October 8, 2021, actress Chizzy Alichi while giving an update on the actor’s arrest in a post via her Instagram account said he has finally been released.
She wrote: ”Uncle Chinwetalu Agu has been released. He is safe and sound.
”All thanks to God and everyone that contributed in one way or the other."
