The Bono   Regional  Minister,  Justina  Owusu Banahene has said,  Government’s commitment to ensuring better education for the masses is well manifested in the great strides made to provide free SHS to the youth of this country.

According to her, education is no longer a privilege for students whose parents can afford it, but the right of every Ghanaian child irrespective of the economic status of his/her parents.

She explains: "It is worth noting that before the graduation of the first batch of the free SHS students, the government took the initiative to expand facilities in some tertiary institutions in the country and to complete most of the ongoing GETFund projects scattered across some tertiary institutions in the country".

Hon. Justina Owusu-Banahene spoke as a Guest at the launch of the 10th Anniversary of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UNER).
