Liverpool recorded 13 points to top Group D after a1-1 draw with FC Midtjylland in Denmark.

The Reds manager fielded Liverpool's youngest-ever Champions League XI but managed to grab a point away.

Salah opened the scores in the first minute after some clever play by the Egyptian. It was a poor Midtjylland pass that Salah took advantage of and drove towards goal with Sviatchenko unable to stop him. Hansen thought he could come out to stop the forward but Salah slotted the ball through his legs before colliding with the goalkeeper as the ball bobbled into the back of the net.

The Reds dominated the first half but the Danes came strongly in the second half after Fabinho was substituted in the second half to reduce the level of experience.

Scholz cancelled Salah's lead from the spot - Dreyer was onside and the goalkeeper, Kelleher certainly fouled him on the way through. He was flashed a yellow card.
