Real Madrid semi-final stage Champions League tie with Chelsea is intact according to Marca in reference to a sanction from the competition threatened by the UEFA president, Aleksander Ceferin.

Various experts in sports law have confirmed to the Spanish news outlet that there is legal basis for a possible sanction, even at a later date on Los Blancos for Fiorentino Perez’s strong involvement in the initiative of the European Super League.

Caferin made known that the penalty on the 13-time winners of the Champions League would centre around the UEFA Executive Committee that will meet on Friday and the outcome will decide the final venues for the European Championship.

Marca’s digest explains that the above-mentioned committee does not have the power to sanction Real Madrid or any club that participated in the breakaway League aside from the Disciplinary Committee. It revealed that without a legal basis, the Court of Arbitration for Sports will overturn any punishment since Real Madrid have violated no article of the competition’s regulations.

Fiorentino Perez in an interview on Wednesday night on 'El Larguero' on Cadena SER spoke on how UEFA, FIFA and other football authorities overstretched clubs decision of joining the Super League as if it was a murder incident per his response to how so many founding clubs left the ‘alliance.’

"I've never seen such aggression from the president of UEFA and some of the countries' footballing authorities.

"I've been in football for 20 years and I've never seen threats like this.

"It was like we killed someone. It was like we killed football. But, we were trying to work out how to save football."
