The Okorase Police came to the scenes with a taxi and believed if the police could have come to the scene on time, they might have saved his colleague, Charles stressed.

Charles Dankwa, a survivor of the deadly armed robbery (Gun) attack at Koforidua -Okorase, Twesonnwi junction says, he is traumatized and unable to sleep since the incident occurred on Saturday.

“I’m unable to sleep since the incident. I’m traumatized," he said.

A friend of Solomon Arhin, the mobile merchant who was with the deceased during the killing incident that led to his death at Twesonnwi junction, in Okorase, in the Eastern Region has opined, that the armed robber portrayed to be making a phone call on that particular stretch of the footpath during the period.

According to Charles Danquah, the colleague teacher is business-oriented, who perform a lot of business activities in Okoroase, the farming community.

He narrated that on that faithful day, June 19, 2021, he accompanied the friend at the shop before 9 pm, and after listening to some Adadam songs, the shop was shut to proceed to their individual homes by foot, and upon reaching Twesonnwi junction in Okorase, they saw a  man pretending to be making a phone call and about 7 meters close to him, he heard a sound like a knockout blast/ a gun sound and incidentally run for their lives in different directions.

He emphasized, that after few minutes, not more than five minutes, he received a phone call from his fiance, informing him about the death of his colleague teacher. Astonished as he can be, he could not come to the scenes from his hideout but directed the fiance to come with a car to pick him since he might be the next target to be shot by the gunman.

Mr Danquah said, they cannot identify the face of the armed person who shot Mr Solomon due to darkness at the junction and in the entire Okorase community.

"The deceased is well known in the Okorase community as a hard worker, adding that he was operating a general merchant shop, as he trades in Electrical parts, Phone Accessories, Electricity Pre-paid Vendor, a mobile Money merchant and provisions shop".

Charles Danquah expressed, that the community has not recorded any such robbery act since they were transferred to the place over two years now and added that he feels insecure to continue teaching at the place because he might not know who is the next target.

He opined that the Okorase Police came to the scenes with a taxi and believed if the police could have come to the scene on time, they might have saved his colleague.

Arhin was shot dead but Charles escaped unhurt.
