Tunisia's president intends to revise the country's constitution.
He didn't say how the constitution will be altered, but he did say it would bring in a "New Republic."

Tunisian President Kas Saed has said that his country's constitution would be rewritten.
Mr. Saed, who has dissolved government and parliament, said in a televised Eid speech that a committee would be formed to redraft the present structure and that its work would be completed within days.
He didn't say how the constitution will be altered, but he did say it would bring in a "New Republic."
Since assuming power nine months ago, opponents have accused him of attempting to concentrate all of the levers of power in his own hands.
