Tunisia is enraged after female judges were fired and slandered.

Protesters gathered outside the Palace of Justice in Tunis, Tunisia's capital, to condemn the slander of fired female judges.

President Kais Saied fired 57 judges last week after accusing them of corruption and sheltering terrorists.

Those who were fired have now been targeted by fans of Mr. Saied on social media, with one of the female judges being accused of adultery.

On Monday, the Judges' Association began a week-long protest against the Tunisian president's decision.

He has ordered that the days they are on strike be removed from their pay.

Since winning a resounding election in 2019, the president has become increasingly autocratic. He deposed the elected parliament and suspended the constitution last year.
