The reasons Kojo Antwi says he won't perform at the National Theatre again

Concertgoers don't really need an introduction to the National Theater because it has hosted numerous high-profile performances of plays, concerts, and other genres of entertainment.

One of the most well-known figures to have graced multiple events at the national theater is none other than Kojo Antwi, who is regarded by many music enthusiasts as the greatest Ghanaian musician ever.

Since it began in 1991, Kojo Antwi's yearly concert at the National Theatre has been held on December 24. For music enthusiasts who have constantly attended the event, it has left many memories.

But, the renowned artist recently declared that he would not be performing at the well-known event center once again, so we might not be able to witness him take the stage and wow us at a place like the National Theatre any longer.

He claimed that upon realizing the National Theatre had transformed into a space that was unable to support his own development at that point, he came to the conclusion and decided not to play there ever again.

When asked why he was no longer holding his show at the National theater, the musician took his time to give an explanation during an interview.

"It's not quite as good as a theater...It is now challenging for those in charge of the theater to preserve the space. and I don't fit into a hall as an artist.I came to see that the location wasn't supporting me. However, an artist is not a part of a hall. Kojo Antwi said, "Everything I did there was about God."

As an artist, you occasionally find yourself halfway full, at the top of the glass, or, as your thoughts expand, beyond the confines of the vessel. And I reached a point when I thought the facility wasn't doing anything to assist me. "I performed a lot of avant-garde work, but an artist is not someone who fits into a hall." I had to move since I realized the place wasn't helping me," he said.
