It has emerged that there is a serious tension brewing within the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the continuous imposition of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on delegates,  all Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), central and local government ministers, and other government officials.

The sources told this news outlet that it is clearly shows that the Vice President is taking over by right and stated that some people in government like Ministers, MMDCEs and even Regional Chairmen are intimidating people seen in campaign team of Mr. Kyerematen.
The sources within the NPP told Soireenews. com how the Vice President is taking advantage of incumbency over the other aspirants even before the party comes out with guidelines for the elections.
The imposition of Dr Bawumia on the delegates and other members of the NPP is so pervasive to the extent that all these MMDCEs, central and local government ministers, and other government officials did not have any option than to declare their support for Dr Bawumia because they want to maintain the current status quo appointees.

This heartbreaking situation has angered many concerned faithfuls who are delegates of the NPP to raise an alarm over the issue and called on the national executives leadership of the NPP to call Dr Bawumia and his supporters to order in order to restore unity and peace within the NPP ahead of the party's presidential race.
In the news item written by one of the NPP loyalists, Mr Mustafa from Lower Manya Constituency captured by Soireenews.com predicted that the NPP presidential candidate election will go for a run off and Hon. John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen will emerge as the NPP presidential candidate on the second run.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia will lead the first round with little above 48% and ne will not meet the threshold of winnable percentage and that will call for a run off.
In the run off, he pointed outeight candidates will found alliance against Dr. Bawumia and that is where Honourable Kennedy Ohene Agyapong will start throwing more missiles against the presidency because he will allied to Mr John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.
He asserted that most of their MMDCEs are Honourable John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and Honourable Boakye Agyako loyalist but they are forced to tow Dr. Bawumia Lane but I promise you, most will loose the towing chain in the run off, and they will campaign vigorously for Honourable Kyerematen to win with ease.
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews.com, some delegates bemoaned how the national executives leadership of the NPP have turned a blind eye and deaf ear to the activities of the Vice President.

This notwithstanding, they predicted a landslide victory for Mr Kyerematen in the flagbearer-ship elections.
They stressed that it is Alan’s time to lead the NPP. This is not a time to experiment with another candidate.
