Asikuma Odoben Brakwa: NDC Deputy Director Of  Election Caught!---Of Keeping Voters Album In His Personal Car Boot, Manages To Alter Information On The Book

Information available to Soireenews.com has exposed the mafia tactics being adopted by the Deputy Director of Election of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa (AOB) Constituency in the Central Region, Mr Yaw Sam whose actions and inactions have created serious tension, division and confusion within the NDC in the area.

These mafia tactics of Yaw Sam and his followers, according to leading card bearing members of the NDC in the constitueny needs an urgent actions from the national and Centra Regional Executives of the NDC to address the mater since the situation has the tendencies to derail the NDC chances to win back the Parliamentary seat in the 2024 general elections..

The former NDC branch Chairman of Chenbroso Brakwa, Honorable Edward Obeng Nash who spilled the beans of the matter said that he personally caught Mr. Yaw Sam for keeping the constituency voters register album called The Green Book in his personal car boot.

He revealed that since Yaw Sam has in the custody of the book which supposed to be in the store room of the party constituency office, he managed to allegedly alter or change the information on the book by way of removing the name of a stauch member of the NDC in the area, Mr. William Adu Oduro who is currently lacing his boot to contest the parliamentary primaries on the ticket of the NDC in the area.

According to Honorable Nash, Mr Yaw Sam managed to remove the name of William Adu Oduro whose branch number is 126 from the NDC's Asikuma Odoben Brakwa voters register album and replaced his name with Joseph Ankan Adu who is an elder brother of William Adu Oduro.

Honorable Nash showedcased series of documentary envidences to prove to his claim that indeed Yaw Sam has altered the information on the constituency voters register album which they are use to vote in electing the NDC's parliamentary candidate in the area.

Mr. Nash spilled the beans of the mafia tactics of Yaw Sam when he was speaking on an Asikuma-based Hope FM on Monday January 30, 203, monitored by Soireenews.com when the DAILY Analyst newspaper and Soireenews.com first came with the story.

Mr. Nash who doubles as the Assembly member for Chenbroso Electoral Area jumped into the defence of Mr Oduro, saying that during the time that they were doing NDC constituency membership registration in the 2018, Mr. Oduro came to write his name as a member of the party.

According to him, Mr Oduro came to write his name and left saying that by the grace of God, the NDC has opened the nomination for the incoming parliamentary election and that Mr Oduro has declared his decision to contest the election on the ticket of the NDC.

He said that since they overheard that the constitueny executives have removed some names of the members of the NDC from the constituency voters album in the previous elections, they suspected and thaught that the same things were going to happen in the NDC's upcoming parliamentary election.

In this regard, Mr. Narsh stated that they wrote an official letter to the constituency executives and requested in their letter to know whether the name of Mr. Oduro is written correctly or is intact in the green book.

In their letter, he added that they also requested to know whether Mr Oduro has his name with his branch number in the Green Book.

Mr. Narsh pointed out that when they sent the letter to the constituency executives, for the past weeks they had not responded to the letter .

He said that when they had followed up with the letter to get the response from the executives, they were shocked to their bone when the constituency executives kept tossing them with flimsy excuses.

"These constituecy executives would tell us that they are going to response to us today or tomorrow whenever we called for respond.

"And that when we called several times, they were not be able to respond to us about what we requested from them," the Assembly man noted.

He asserted that the Director of Election of the constitueny, Mr Abdulla sent him messages that the letter they brought to the constituency executives, he wanted to meet them on Friday January 28,2024 around 2:30 pm.

He indicated that he left Brakwa around 1:30 pm and went to the NDC constituency office together with  Tetteh Shai to be his witness.

He indicated that the two went to sit at the premises of the office for almost two hours but the Mr Abdulla has not showed up.

According to him, Mr Abdulla got to the party office around 3:00 pm, saying that when he arrived, Mr Abdulla informed them Mr Yaw Sam is also on his way coming to the meeting.

Mr Narsh indicated that he together with Tetteh Shai sat at the premises of office for almost one hour but Yaw Sam has not showed up.

Latter, he pointed out that when Yaw Sam arrived, Mr Abdulla Abulla came to inform them that they don't have the key to open the office for them to sit to have the meeting and that the key is with the constituency secretary, Mr Kofi Paul.

"Interestingly, when Kofi Paul arrived at the office with the motor bike and came to open the office, and at the time that they were claiming the storey building to the office, something told him to look at his back and since the office is the storey building he saw that Yaw Sam has opened his car bolt and removed some green books from his personal car bolt," he stated.

"Yaw Sam managed to keep the green books in his personal car boot which supposed to be kept in the constituency office as if the book is his family bonifade property which action is completely against the constitution of the NDC.

He added that when they were climbing the stairs of the storey building he confronted Mr Yaw Sam and asked him that the Green Book that he is keeping his in personal car bolt where is it coming from?

Mr Nash who has a branch Chairman for the past twelve years noted that Mr Yaw Saw told him that they should go and that he kept mute.

"So when we entered into the party office he thought the Green Books were kept in the store room of the office but to his surprise he saw that the books that Yaw Sam removed from his car bolt that he Yaw Sam puts before them and asked us that they should check that the person that they mentioned in their letter that they wanted to find whether his name is the green book actually has his name in the book," Mr Nash noted.

He said the compilation of the list of the names of the NDC members were done by him together with the constituency women's organiser, Madam Rahel Ofori and that he knows the various pages of where the names of all the members of the NDC were listed.

"I together with Madam Rahel Ofori has compiled a almost two hundred names of the members of the NDC in the on the book and now Yaw Sam and his followers have managed to reduce the names of the members of the NDC in the area to one hundred and fifty four (144), These practices of Yaw Sam and his followers are very outrageous and completely criminal which need to be investigated," he noted.

According to him, at the time Yaw Sam hand over  the Green book to him, he moved directly to the page of where Mr. Oduro name is listed in the book.

"But surprisingly when l reached to the middle page, l realized that Yaw Sam has managed to remove the middle page of where the name of Mr Oduro is listed from the Green book without the knowledge of me and that of  Madam Rahel Ofori who compiled or wrote the names of the various members of the NDC in the area," he added.

He said Yaw Sam removed the name of Mr Oduro from the book and secretly used a different pen with his hand written to rewrite the different name in place of Mr Oduro.

"I told Yaw Sam that you have removed some pages from the book and pointed out to Yaw Sam that these hand writings of the letters of the words of the name in the book, l thaught that you were the one who has rewrote them.

"Because the book supposed to be in the constitueny party office and that the pages which were removed from the book were done by you. Interestingly, Mr Abdulla and Madam Rahel Ofori were present before l am talking to Yaw Sam on his bad behavior of removing the names of Mr Oduro and other members of the  the book.

"Very annoying is that hat Yaw Sam told me was that, we should go and invoke a curse. You see the whole Deputy Director of Election who told me that we should to invoke a curse? So l told Yaw Sam that it was mot invoking of curse that we came to meet them, because  we wrote a letter to the constituency executives to find out before you people are tossing us on the verification of the names on the book.

"I told Yaw Sam that why is it he managed to keep the constituency book at his house. I told him he keeps the book with the aim to achieve their long planning agenda to remove names of some supporters who are closed to some potential candidates who wanted to contest the parliamentary election on the ticket of the NDC against their constituency executives favorite contestant. It is something that Yaw Sam and his followers had been doing for long times. They had done in the previous NDC's Parliamentary position election and they had succeeded.

"They also did the same in the just ended constituency executives election. So now Yaw Sam and his followers are planning to use same mafia tactics in the incoming parliamentary election to pave way for someone to contest the election unopposed.

"And we want to tell the executives of the NDC in the constituency that that unopposed songs that they are singing for in whatever means it will not succeed," Mr. Narsh vowed.
