The Chief of Hobor, a fast growing community in the in the Ga South Municipality in the Greater Accra region, Nii Quashi Amponsah has described as shameful and disgust of the unprofessional conduct of the soldiers to kill a 25-year-old man, Alfred Awuku who is his brother.
 
Worried over the situation, the chief appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to ensure that the justice prevail in the case saying the deceased, Alfred Awuku was not a land guard.
The deceased, Alfred Awuku has been shot dead by some military men at Hobor
Reports say the deceased, Alfred Awuku, was shot after he attempted to take a rifle belonging to one of the officers.
 
Two other persons including the Wulomo of Kweku Pamfo also sustained an injury as a result of a dispute that broke out between the community members and the military officers who were protecting a parcel of land in the community.
 
According to sources, there is land litigation between Golden Exotics Limited and some families members at  Kwaku Panfo which has resulted into the dead of one Alfred Awuku. 
Sources revealed that, six military persons fully armed with their identity yet to be known were hired by the leaders of Golden Exotics Limited to protect their land which allegedly be encroached at Kwaku Panfo. 
 
An attempt by some members of the community to grade the land for onward development resulted in the altercation.
 
The Assemblyman for Hobor, Peter Adonu, speaking to Soireesnews.com about the development said six military officers ordered the workers on the land to stop work but Alfred Awuku protested and threatened to fight the solder before he was shot.
