As today marks the birthday of the Former Late President John Evans Atta Mills, Members of Parliament have paid growing tribute to his memory.

Members of Parliament today pay glowing tributes to the Late President John Evans Atta Mills to mark his Birthday.

According to a statement read by MP for North Tongu, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Late President Mills undertook many political and economic reforms that stand him out among his contemporaries.

The statement further said the achievement of the longest single-digit inflation recorded under the Fourth Republic. The Minority Leader of Parliament, Honourable Haruna Iddrisu, on his part expressed the view that the University of Health and Allied Sciences be named after President Mills.

The Tamale South MP recalled the President's passion for prudent management of state resources. On his part, the MP for Nshiaso, Stephen Amoah also recounted the late Mills' role in preserving the peace of the country which gave him the accolade, Asomdwehene. Other MPs also added their voices to mention the contributions of the Late President John Evans Atta Mills toward national development.
