“Teach your children how to save”-Banking expert to parents

A banking expert and General Manager for Zenith Bank Sunyani Branch, Mr Julius Mensah has charged parents to inculcate the habit of saving into their children.
The act according to him will enable the children to appreciate the importance of saving and being financially disciplined.
Mr Mensah was speaking on Ark FM’s Afisem saying the lack of saving and maintaining financial stability has drawn many families into financial challenges leading to their children paying the big price by dropping out of school among others.
He wants families to have a structured plan for their expenditure in the home.
According to him, the best way to manage a home financially is to have a budget plan stating the basic needs to the last negotiable need.
This he said will go a long way in helping families to desist from buying unnecessary goods. That he said will help them reserve some monies for saving. To Mr Julius, it is best to save at least 10% of one's income every month.
