Tamale Car Syndicates to Reappear in Court Tommorow, Friday

Six (6) men who were arrested in relation to a robbery incident in Jonshegu, a suburb of Tamale will reappear at the Tamale circuit court tomorrow Friday, 28, 2022.

Suspected informant to the robbery, Mohammed Alhassan who happens to be the sixth accused person has been deferred by Mr. Alexandra Oworae, presiding judge at the Circuit court to February 9, 2022.

The suspects, Yussif Mustapha, 23; Ibrahim Issah, 27; Seram Addo, 34; Alhassan Mohammed, 29, Adjei Benjamin, 23, and Vivor Christopher, 27, are facing five counts of conspiracy to rob, robbery, possession of firearms and ammunition without lawful authority and possession of police and military accouterments.

The Tamale circuit court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of three other suspects who believe in supplying the accused persons with arms and ammunition.

The six suspects' first appearance in court was on Tuesday 25, 2022.

The six syndicates were arrested in Buipe in the Savannah Region by the police for allegedly snatching a car from its owner at Jonshegu, a suburb of Tamale late in the night.

The sixth suspect, Mohammed, a teacher of Kanvile R/C Primary School, who is said to be an informant for the robbers, was later picked up at a hideout.

The police retrieved a G3 rifle with a magazine loaded with 16 rounds of ammunition, a pistol, several military uniform, money, gloves, military caps, two military scarfs, a catapult, a coil of sellotape, and military ID cards from the suspects.
