The District Police Commander of Assin Fosu, Chief Superintendent Cephas Arthur, has warned the teeming youth in the area against activities that could jeopardize their future.

The District Police Commander of Assin Fosu, Chief Superintendent Cephas Arthur, has warned the teeming youth in the area against activities that could jeopardize their future.
Speaking at a youth Empowerment Programme organized by the Dompim CAC Child and Youth Development Center and Assin Dompim Youth Association with a theme; The Youth As a Tool For Community Development, the senior police officer noted that, activities such as fraud, theft, stealing, Indian hemp smoking, defilement, and rape are all forms of crime that derail the development of a nation and it is punishable by law.
He encouraged the 1000s of youth who participated in the program to be responsible by taking up job opportunities to better their lives and desist from anti-social activities.
For his part, the Akyempemhene of Assin Dompim, Nana Oheneba Gyasi Agyapong I who doubles as the caretaker chief admonished parents to be responsible for their children's needs.
He urged the teenagers to take their education seriously to help them attain aspirations in life.  
Also the facilitator for Compassion Assisted Projects in Assin, Mr. Isaac Nartey reiterated the need for various religious organizations to use their pulpit.
He urged religious leaders to use the pulpit to help address societal challenges to produce God-fearing persons who lead morally upright lives to build a better nation.
