Takoradi Should Support It’s Artistes More - Ayesem

Ayesem is calling for support from the people of Takoradi.

The hip hop and hiplife recording artist from Takoradi stated that although he does get support from his people, he feels like they can do more.

“Everyone has a definition of what supporting your own means but then you can’t force someone to support you. I feel supported in a way but in my region, I expect more. Even though the support is not to my expectation, so far so good."

"I feel that Takoradi has been there for me from day one even though it is not from everyone. And in everything you do, you wouldn’t get everybody supporting you. It is normal”. He noted.

This he said while speaking with Y97.9FM’s Chelsy Sey on the ‘Ryse N Shyne’ show.

According to him, he has the passion to stick through and be successful in music even without the support of the majority.

He explained that many musicians who abandon music often do so because of unrealized expectations and never had the hardcore passion in the first place.

“I know people who stopped pursuing because their expectations weren’t met. Some are in it for fame or money but when the passion is attached, it is a different ball game altogether”,

“At times you feel like giving up but then there is one thing called passion attached to this music thing we are doing. It always pushes us anytime we feel like giving up and that is when new music comes to mind and you feel like going to the studio. So to me, it has always been the passion. If that was not the case, most of us would have stopped”, he concluded.
