Some residents in the  Sunyani Municipality have expressed disappointment in the President for his failure to speak explicitly about the hardship in the country.

Some of them speaking to Soiree News Rosemond Kissiwaa said, the President has amassed wealth for himself and has no concern for the suffering Ghanaians.

Some of them stated that the hardship in the country would be heightened now that the e-levy has been passed.

Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu expressed displeasure with the content of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered by President Akufo-Addo on Wednesday.

According to him, the address did not reflect the realities of the current state of the nation.

Speaking on the floor of the Parliament, the Tamale South MP, before seconding the motion for the House to accept and debate the address, said President Akufo-Addo shied away from talking about the difficulties being experienced by Ghanaians and rather continued giving promises.

“We have heard His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. We expected him to deliver the true state of the Nation Address which will reflect the growing hardships and suffering of the Ghanaian people.”
