Most Ghanaians have perceived life in Europe as a key to prosperity hence most people migrate through all means available to them.


Those who embark on such adventure say, living and working in Europe causes one to be wealthy within the shortest time than in Ghana. 
Some residents in the Sunyani municipality who spoke to our reporter say they prefer traveling outside the country to seek greener pastures than enduring hardship in Ghana. 
Some say, when the opportunity comes for them to travel, they wouldn’t hesitate to do so.
 Whilst a few others say they are more confident in making life in Ghana than traveling outside the country.
The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) is in charge of the removal and deportation of illegal immigrants in Ghana. 
The Ghanaian government has agreed to work with other Government and international agencies to prevent illegal immigration inside and outside the country. 
Illegal immigrants and aliens in Ghana specifically concluded; 2.6 million Nigerian nationals, 0.3 million Burkinabe nationals, Togolese, Ivorians, Nigeriens, Malians; and mostly nationals from West Africa and elsewhere in Africa 0.2 million.
