The Queen-mother 's war, which is directed at shop owners, head porters (kayayo), traders and some residents in Sunyan, noted that these persons littered the streets of the metropolis without any concern and its implications.

The Queen Mother of the Sunyani Traditional Council in the Bono Region Nana Akosua Aso Sika Brayie, has declared war on sanitation offenders and drivers of heavy duty vehicles who off-load goods at the Central Business area of Sunyani during working hours.
The Queen-mother 's war, which is directed at shop owners, head porters (kayayo), traders and some residents in Sunyan, noted that these persons littered the streets of the metropolis without any concern and its implications.
She stressed that sanitation is paramount and essential to the health of people hence whoever is caught littering around the city of Sunyani will be charged to pay for one waste bin to be placed at vantage points of Sunyani.
This punishment, according to the queen would aid waste collection and effective sanitation to serve as a deterrent to others.
The Queen Mother made this assertion after a clean-up exercise organized by the Sunyani Traditional Council in collaboration with the Sunyani Municipal Assembly and Zoomlion Ghana  Limited on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Sunyani. 
Nana Akosua Aso Sika Brayie donated 50 waste bins to the authorities to be placed at vantage points in the city of Sunyani to enhance the collection of refuse to facilitate effective sanitation and a hygienic environment indicating that anything rubbish must be deposited in the bins. 
She added that whoever litters around without putting the refuse in the rightful place shall be made to face the full rigorous of the laws of Nananom to prevent others from repeating the same or similar errors.
