Wei Ye Oteng has demanded that musicians be quiet concerning the recent triumph of the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) victory.

The music producer expressed his displeasure at how some musicians have been rushing to release victory tracks in order to curry favour from the party.

He called the songs 'shitty' and asked the artistes to stop belittling the craft because of what they may or may not receive.

Going on to say that the songs are not well-produced, Wei Ye Oteng advised the artistes to calm down.

Buhari congratulates Akufo-Addo for winning Presidential race

Dear NPP musicians (SOME) pls stop the shitty victory songs, they are very bad and not well-produced, victory songs are not by force. U ppl don’t take ur time, just rushing to be recognised. No wonder we are never taken seriously. Put some value on ur craft. #Otengbeats #WYO #Obrafour #drumlyneent #TheSmoke #behindthesmoke.” He wrote on his Facebook page.

This comes after Akufo-Addo has been reelected for a second term with 51. 59% of votes, beating out former president John Mahama of the NDC.

He was re-elected for a second term with 6,730,413 votes. Mahama received 6,214,889 votes, or 47.36%, making it a tight race between the two, as many had predicted.

Although one region’s final vote has yet to be accounted for, the EC says at this point it would not change the outcome.
