The Sogakope Police appeals to the general public to assist them with information on the three suspected criminals.

The Sogakope Police as part of investigations is on a manhunt for three suspected robbers who shot and killed a 35-year-old man in an attempted robbery operation at Hlevi, a suburb of Sogakope.

The robbers numbering about three with masks stormed the house of a Mobile money merchant at dawn on Tuesday, 26 October 2021 around 1 am. 

The occupants of the house whilst sleeping heard an unusual noise on their compound and woke up only to notice three assailants within their compound and forced the merchant’s door open.

They screamed for help compelling Justice Akorli aged 35 now deceased who was sleeping in the next room to come out. the assailants shot him in the lower abdomen then started firing indiscriminately and left the house afterwards.

The victim was rushed to Sogakope District Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival. 

A team of crime scene experts visited the scene to conduct reconstruction and analysis. Two empty shells of BB cartridges were found. The police are appealing to the public to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of these criminals.

They are also appealing to the general public to be careful with whom they receive as visitors and must try to know little about whoever comes to them.
