SHS enrollment: Berekum's parents call for an extension over economic hardship

Most parents are struggling to get all the necessary materials needed to support their children who have gotten admission into various SHS in the country. 

Some of the parents who spoke to Soiree News in an interview in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region pleaded with the government to do something about the situation since the reopening date and time are too short for them to get prepared for their children.

According to the parents, the list of items demanded from the children is too much including a rake, broom, cutlasses, chop box, box iron, books, clothes, mattress, pillows, and other materials which they cannot afford immediately. 

Some of the parents claim they were not able to get placement for their children and call on the government and the Ghana Education Service to make the necessary arrangements to help the get postings for their children.
