Controversial dancehall and afrobeat musician Shatta Wale has responded to the president's well-known economic crisis speech statement.

The president of the republic, Nana Addo, spoke to the nation about the economic difficulties and the depreciation of the cedi against the dollar in the late hours of yesterday.

In his speech to the nation, the president urged Ghanaians to refrain from making frequent complaints about the depreciation of the cedi.

"Fellow Ghanaians, as the French would say, l'argent n'aime pas le bruit, to wit, money does not like noise, sika mpe dede," Akufo Addo remarked to support his argument.
