Six units of classroom block that were heralded with the sod-cutting in 2014 at Yayaso in the Sefwi Bodi District of the Western North Region has been abandoned and bushes have grown over the foundation structure for a comfortable zone of rearing pigs.

The then District Chief Executive (DCE), Honourable Solomon Fuachie led a delegation to cut the sod for the commencement of the project over 8 years ago, but its intended purpose to mitigate Ghana's chronic classroom deficiencies have been left at its lentil stage

Most of the foundation had deep cracks whiles the iron rods in some of the pillars were exposed to vagaries of the weather.

The most worrying situation is that some of the residents have been taken advantage of the Abandoned classroom block rearing pigs inside the classroom to be.

The school with a population of about 120 pupils lacks a classroom for them to use for academic activities.

The situation is affecting teaching and learning in the school as academic activities are usually inhibited by several extraneous factors.

Some of the pupils are appealing to the government and Sefwi Bodi District Assembly to come to their aid.

According to the Headteacher of the school Mr. Samuel Ampofo Agyei Barima, the school which was established in the year 1992 has no JHS.

He said from primary 1 to primary 6 the school has only two Teachers including himself.

Teachers do not stay in the place during posting due to a lack of accommodation.

He mentioned that the school is yet to witness a single classroom from the government, they also lack desks, texts books among others.

He urged the government to complete the abandoned six-unit classroom and teachers' bungalow which was 90 percent complete in the year 2012.
