After entering a guilty plea to involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of a journalist who was critical of the government, a man in Rwanda was fined $900 (£746) by a court.

Last month, John Williams Ntwali died after being struck by a speeding car while riding a motorcycle.

According to the officials, it was a traffic collision.

Rights organizations demanded a thorough inquiry into his death, calling it suspicious.
