Cristiano Ronaldo will make his second debut for Manchester United against Newcastle United when Premier League returns.

The former Real Madrid forward sealed a move to the English League last Friday and will wear United’s iconic number 7 jersey following his reunion. The Portuguese superstar famously wore the legendary shirt number during his first spell with the club and has been confirmed to have it back once again.

Manchester United are third on the Premier League table with 7 points following a draw with Southampton and two wins against Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 2012-13 season was the last time Manchester United won the Premier League trophy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is aimed at breaking the jinx hence his acquisition of their celebrated star.

Cristiano Ronaldo is on international duty with Portugal and has broken the men's all-time international scoring record after scoring two goals against Ireland in the World Cup qualifiers.

United’s first fixture after the international break, in which Ronaldo could make his second debut, is at home to Newcastle United on Saturday 11 September.
