Residents of Abidjan Nkwanta Appeal to the Government to Fulfil Its Promise made in 2022.

The residents of Abidjan Nkwanta in the Afigya Kwabre North District of the Ashanti Region have made a passionate appeal to the government to fulfil its promises made to them in 2022 concerning developmental projects.

According to them, the Nana Addo-led government promised them in 2022 that he will get them some social amenities like good roads, toilets facilities, lights and chip compounds but has failed to implement them since that time till date.

They disclosed that last year they brought them solar panels which can provide them light but they didn't fix the panel which is now rusting without any light as promised.

They said due to the poor nature of the road when someone gets sick at night, no vehicle is ready to transport the person to the hospital and only a few drivers ply the road and this has made their life unbearable in the community.

Speaking in an interview, they explained that, Abidjan Nkwanta is a farming community with a huge land plantation of cocoa and plantain but all the people there are poor because they sell their produce at lower prices since they produce they are unable to get buyers for their farm produce.

The youth in the community are gradually leaving farming because they see government doesn't think about their life are planning to leave the community for a better life, they said.

They are therefore reminding the government to come and fulfil its promises made to them because they are waiting for the government to accomplish the promise made to the people.
