"I am pleading with the family members of my father Prof. Atta-Mills for not seeking their knowledge before the reconstruction of the Asomdwee Park. In life everybody bound out of making mistake, l am really apology to you and that you should forgive me for  my wrong doings," Mr Anyidoho stated in an interview with Angel Television morning show host, Mr  Kofi Adomah Nwanwani on Friday morning.
Mr Anyidoho's apology was in a response to the accusation made by Head of the family for former President  Professor John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills in Ekumfi Otuam, Mr Kobina Biney to the effect,  Mr. Anyidoho and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo did not informed Atta-Mills family before they refurbished the Asomdwe Park, in commemoration of the10th anniversary of the death of the late Professor Atta-Mills

Mr Binney told the Angel Television that the current led Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) didn't consult or inform the family about the celebration of 10th anniversary of the death of the late Professor Atta-Mills.

But when reached for his reaction, Mr Anyidoho rendered apology to the family members of the Prof Atta-Mills and pleaded with them to forgive him.

He disclosed that he was aware of the plan of the family to visit the Asomdwe Park.

Meanwhile, Mr Biney announced that the family members of Atta-Mills have set aside the Wednesday August 10, 2022 to officially pay visit to Asomdwe Park, the official burial place for mortal remains of President Mills.

Their visit, according to him, would afford them the opportunity to perform the necessary traditional rituals and customs to remember the late President Atta-Mills after he hired for the past ten years.
He pointed out that the members of the President Mills family had chosen that the particular date to visit the Asomdwe Park’  because it is the culture and traditions of Fantes to perform such remembrance rituals on the particular date that the dead person was buried.
Speaking in an interview on Angel TV on Friday August 5, 2022, Mr Biney denied the wide spread allegations that the family planned to exhume the mortal remains of President Atta- Mills from Asomdwee Park in Accra and reburied in his hometown, Ekumfi Otuam.
He stressed that the family members of the Atta Mills who died in office in July 2012, had never took such decision and described the media reports as misleading, calling on Ghanaians to disregard such information.

When asked whether the family knows what had had killed President Mills, Mr Binney responded that neither he nor the family knows the exact cause of the death of the late president.
“We still don’t know (the cause of his death), the hospital never gave the family any autopsy report to show that this and this was the cause of why he passed away, so, l don’t know what killed our loved son my  I don’t think any member of our family will be able to give evidence of how President Mills passed away,” the Head of Atta Mills stated in an interview with Angel Television morning show host Kofi Adomah Nwanwani on Friday morning.
According to Mr Binney they have heard several rumours and speculations (about the cause of death) but as for me, until I see any concrete evidence, I would not believe these reports.
He pointed out that the family of the late Professor Atta-Mills decided to stay quite about the death of their son because for what they are seeing if they decided to talk about the about the cause of his death it would bring another trouble to this country.
