THE PARAMOUNT Chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area in the Western North Region, who doubles as the President of National House of Chiefs (NHCs), Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, has presented laptop computers to the top two students in 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and the MCE's two best performing students in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality.

Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II also presented twenty desktop computers with interactive headsets to the branch of the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT) studying groups (artisans) in Bibiani to enable them to establish the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department to train the youth who are in artisanal trades and vocational training in Bibiani.

These initiatives were done to the various beneficiaries in the full glare of the public  during the part of Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality's 67th Independence Day Celebration held at Bibiani on Wednesday March 6, 2024.
According to the Chief, the branch of UMaT studying groups in Bibiani are focusing on how to train people with skills and stated that these computers would be used to add on to these training initiatives for the people in the area.
The computers, which were bought by Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II would be used to train the people in the use of ICT to help boost their ICT skills and knowledge.
Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II added that since he has been installed the paramount chief of the area, he contributed largely to the educational development and skills training programmes for a lot of people in his area.
Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II used the occasion to showcase his vast monumental track record and achievements in the areas of the promotion of the child education, peace, security, water, sanitation, health and youth skill training among other human essentials.
He stated that it is a high time for all the citizens and people joined forces with him and his elders to support the young people with massive investments in education, skills-building, and lifelong learning.
The prominent traditional ruler in the Western Region who is very passionate about the development of young people, called for the empowerment of the next generation and focus on the essential role of children and young people in safeguarding democracy today and in the future.

According to him, it is now the time for all and sundry to join hands to protect human rights and advance gender equality.
He stressed that, "We must expand the meaningful participation of young people in decision-making processes at every level and 
called on the people to unite to help speed up the development of his community as well the nation as a whole.”

Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II indicated that societies were developed through unity and active participation of all the people in the initiation and implementation of programmes and projects that could help uplift the people from their current situations. 
Speaking at a 67th Independence Day Celebration in Bibiani on Wednesday March 6, 2024, the prominent traditional ruler told the constituents that unity and oneness are importance in achieving the development agenda of the community. 

At the Bibiani, members of security agencies, government officials, school children; all participated in the parade.
The Bibiani level parade was dominated by the primary pupils through to tertiary levels.
The paramount chief congratulated his people for their fully participation of Bibiani/ Anhwiaso/Bekwai Municipality's part of the 67th Independence Day Celebration which was held in Bibiani township.

"Our forethers have sacrificed their lives to fight the Independence for us in Ghana. So, we want peace, unity, oneness and hard work for all of us to advance the objective of the country to reach a high-income level," Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II admonished the constituents.
He, therefore, called on all stakeholders such as the chiefs, assembly members, unit committee members and the people to join hands together with him to initiate and implement projects that would help improve the living conditions of the people. 
Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II pointed out that his priority as the paramount chief was to bring all the people together to chart a course that would enhance their socio-economic standards. 
He called on the people to keep their environment clean and take good care of their children, especially in the areas of their education and well-being. 
The chief also called on the youth to be law abiding and take part in all communal activities.
