Powerful storm headed for Mozambique

In the ensuing hours, a strong storm is anticipated to make impact in central and southern Mozambique (around 10:00 GMT).

After battering Madagascar's east coast, where at least seven persons were killed, Cyclone Freddy makes landfall.

It brought floods that impacted 80,000 people, torrential rain, and strong winds that tore the roofs off of houses.

Mozambicans have been strengthening their rooftops in preparation.
