Information available to the Soireenews. com indicates that Mr. David Dakudzi, an aspiring Eastern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), facilitated the interception of 25 large trucks loaded with fertilizer allegedly hoarded by top figures of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the 2024 general elections.

The 25 fertilizer-loaded trucks were intercepted along the route from Akwadum toward the junction of the DVLA Koforidua office in the Eastern Region and were subsequently handed over to the police.

Right after the NPP, under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, lost the 2024 general elections to the NDC, top NPP officials hired drivers to transport government-owned fertilizers from the Eastern Region to other areas. However, the vehicles were intercepted by Mr. Dakudzi.

The case is currently under active investigation.

According to reliable information obtained by the newspaper, Mr. Dakudzi orchestrated and facilitated the seizure of the fertilizers allegedly hoarded by NPP gurus.

The items were ostensibly meant to be distributed as incentives by the outgoing NPP government to influence farmers across 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region during the 2024 general elections.

During the operation, after Mr. Dakudzi caused the fertilizer-loaded trucks to be stopped, he called police officers and local NDC constituency executives to the scene, and the fertilizers were confiscated.

These security actions confirm that Mr. Dakudzi consistently demonstrates leadership in the fight against corruption, affirming that if elected next chairman, he will do more to rescue the NDC and protect national assets in the Eastern Region.

The clear indications are that the NDC needs Mr Dakudzi as the next Eastern Regional Chairman to help secure the party's future and win more seats in the region during the 2028 general elections.

Once known mainly as the hardworking Eastern Deputy Regional Organizer of the NDC, Mr Dakudzi has now become the face of a growing political movement seeking what members and supporters describe as “renewed energy and stronger grassroots connection” ahead of the party’s next internal elections.

From community gatherings to party mobilisation drives, the David Dakudzi Movement– popularly branded as #DDM- is steadily gaining traction among branch executives, youth activists and constituency organisers.
