Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara has suggested that Mauricio Pochettino would transform Manchester United if given the chance.

The Red Devils boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under severe criticism by supporters calling for his sack after their recent 2-1 loss against Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League on Wednesday night in Turkey.

The Norwegian has become bookies’ new favourite to win the Premier League sack race according to talkSPORTS after back to back defeat both in the Premier League against Arsenal and the Turkish side.

The Red Devils are 15th on the English league table with seven points after six matches, a record which speaks not well of the 13 times PL winners hence fans calling for his dismissal for a new manager.

O’Hara said on Thursday’s talkSPORT Breakfast that Pochettino is the fourth-best manager in the elite league and would kick start the Red Devils once he takes over the team.

“As a manager, he [Pochettino] is unbelievable. For me, he is the fourth-best manager in England right now.

“He’s the fourth-best and he hasn’t got a job. Only Klopp, Guardiola and Mourinho are ahead.

“I would have him in most football clubs. How can you not say he’s unbelievable? Look what he did at Southampton and Spurs.

“Put him at Manchester United and he would take the club to another dimension.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since taking charge of the Red Devils in March 2019 has won 55 out of 101 games, drawing 21 and losing 25.
