Captain Planet of '4x4' fame has berated the individuals who had the audacity to fire into a crowd of peaceful protesters.

According to him, there is no reasonable explanation as to why soldiers who swore to protect citizens would wilfully harm them.

He maintained that other peaceful means could have been observed instead of going through with the most dangerous action.

Using the soldier that was spotted kneeling down fire against the protesters, he maintained that the kind of approach should not be taken against citizens.

“See this foolish he-goat on target to snipe somebody’s son protesting for the right things to be done,” He said while sharing an image of the soldier.

This comes after two protesters were shot dead and four were wounded in clashes with security forces in Ghana's southern Ashanti region.

The deaths were confirmed by the Ghana Police Service spokesman and a health official.

"One died before arrival. We tried to resuscitate the other but he died later," said Manyee Mensah, medical superintendent at the Ejura Government Hospital.

"Currently, we have four injured persons... One is in a critical condition but the other three are stable,"

The peaceful protesters had taken to the streets to kick against the death of youth activist, Ibrahim "Kaaka" Mohammed when they were confronted by police and soldiers on Tuesday in the town of Ejura.

President Nana Akufo-Addo ordered a government report on the incident within 10 days.

The statement from his office said the president was "deeply saddened" by the deaths of Mohammed and two others, assumed to be the protesters.
