The Paramount Chief of the Gushegu traditional area of the Northern Region, Naa Abdullahi Mahamud is reported dead, Soireenews can report.
He died at the Tamale Teaching Hospital this afternoon after days of illness.
The remains of the late paramount chief have been conveyed back to the traditional area for burials.
Per the tradition of Dagbon, customary rites would be observed tomorrow at the palace before a secret burial.
Meanwhile, an official communication is yet to be released from the deceased family and the Gushegu palace.
