One Shot Dead, 4 Arrested,  7 Injured In Gun, Cutlass Battle  Over Land  At Awutu Bereku

Four Suspects have been arrested by the Central Regional Police Command who are assisting investigations while the dead body of Eden has been conveyed to Police Hospital for Preservation.

A 31-year- old man, Mr Quashie  Edem has been shot dead while six others wounded through cutlass and gun battle in a land Litigation between the people of Gomoa Akraman and  Awutu Bereku in the Central Region.
Four Suspects have been arrested by the Central Regional Police Command who are assisting investigations while the dead body of Eden has been conveyed to Police Hospital for Preservation.
Three of the victims from Awutu Bereku, who sustained gun wounds are receiving treatment at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital while four others  from Gomoa Akraman are also receiving at Gomoa Akraman CHIPS  compound.
In an interview with the media , some of the injured victims from Gomoa Akraman said, they saw Awutu Bereku people led by Nai Rahman  grading their land, in an attempt to stop them, they attacked them with guns and cutlasses, they also responded accordingly resulting to one dead and several injuries.
       
Alhaji Dawood from Awutu Bereku, who is an  eyewitness and a member of Awutu Bereku, denied the allegations leveled against them by Gomoa  Akraman people.
He stated that they were grading the land for their customer before a group of people came from Gomoa Akraman, claiming they area belongs to the people of Gomoa Akraman traditional council. 
Alhaji Dawood explained that one of their boys was shot dead, three others recieved gun wounds while four other peoples from Akraman have been arrested.
Nai Adawo Duodu known as Rahman, was astonished to hear that one of his boys has been shot dead leaving others in critical conditions.
